Day 1 – Doors & Windows

  • Single and double doors – from sketch to final drawing
  • Windows: Top-hung, Bottom-hung, Side-hung, Fixed
  • Windows in standard openings and in curtain walling
  • Dimensions, annotations, title blocks, text styles
  • Dynamic Blocks for doors and windows – correct naming and professional use
  • Introduction to LogiKal – interface, navigation, and useful functions explained in detail
  • Workflow: AutoCAD drawings → LogiKal → cutting list → production

Day 2 – Shopfronts & Curtain Walling

  • Shopfront design principles – doors, fixed lights, mullions & transoms
  • Profiles, thresholds, glazing details
  • Curtain walling in AutoCAD – vertical and horizontal layouts
  • Structural logic, drainage, expansion joints, profile depths
  • Building Regulations: accessibility, energy, security (Part L, Part M, PAS24)
  • LogiKal deep-dive – practical use for shopfronts and curtain walling, showing shortcuts and cost-saving tools
  • Workflow: shopfront & curtain wall drawings → LogiKal → cutting list → production

Day 3 – Frameless Systems + Survey & Final Workflow

  • Frameless glass entrances – patch fittings, rails, and fixings
  • How to specify and order patch fitting glass correctly
  • Accessories for frameless systems – hinges, locks, handles
  • Survey training – reading site surveys and redrawing in AutoCAD
  • Final workflow: Survey → AutoCAD → Cutting list → Production
  • Final exam & Certificates
